Job summary

GSK's Onyx Research Data Tech organization is building a next-generation, metadata- and automation-driven data experience for scientists, engineers, and decision-makers. They are seeking a Senior GenAI Platform Engineer to develop first-in-class GenAI capabilities at scale, including complex agent architectures, LLM training, and optimized LLM deployments. This role involves contributing to the development of production code and ensuring usability, reproducibility, and performance of the GenAI Platform.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience building production systems
  • Proficiency in Python for writing well-instrumented, tested, and maintainable code
  • Experience with API design and developer experience focus
  • Ability to collaborate with ML, security, and product teams

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key engineer for the GenAI platform
  • Contribute technical expertise to AIML Platform, DevOps, Compute, and Cloud teams
  • Co-design major software components of the GenAI Platform
  • Develop production code in Python
  • Participate in design reviews and PR reviews
  • Accountable for key GenAI Platform components focusing on usability, reproducibility, and performance at scale
  • Integrate with DataOps and Data Engineering products for ML training at scale
  • Participate in scrum teams
  • Design innovative strategies for end-user environment improvement
  • Uphold engineering discipline and CI/CD best practices
  • Proactively contribute to engineering area improvements
