Job summary

The Oracle E-Business Suite and PostgreSQL Database Administrator role involves managing and administering Oracle EBS and PostgreSQL databases in both production and non-production environments. Key responsibilities include performance tuning, backup and recovery, and implementing high-availability solutions while collaborating with various teams and utilizing technologies such as Oracle Database 19c, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Oracle Database administration experience.
• At least 3 years of PostgreSQL database administration experience.
• Strong experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c administration.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and performance tuning.
• Experience with Oracle EBS cloning and patching.
• Experience administering Linux or Unix platforms.
• Experience with database monitoring and performance-analysis tools.
• Working knowledge of scripting in Linux or Unix environments.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 production and non-production environments.
• Administer Oracle Database 19c environments that support Oracle EBS applications.
• Perform Oracle EBS cloning, patching, upgrades, and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Apply Oracle EBS application and technology stack patches using ADOP.
• Administer and troubleshoot Oracle WebLogic Server and related EBS services.
• Diagnose and resolve Oracle EBS application and performance issues.
• Coordinate EBS deployments and code migrations.
• Support month-end and year-end business processing activities.
• Plan and validate backup, recovery, and high-availability procedures.
• Maintain database security and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with DBA, infrastructure, application, and support teams.
• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.
• Perform PostgreSQL upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance.
• Configure and maintain PostgreSQL replication technologies.
• Deploy PostgreSQL databases in Docker environments.
• Implement high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions.
• Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries.
• Analyze and resolve database performance issues.
• Manage database growth and capacity planning.
• Automate routine administration and monitoring tasks.
