Senior Infrastructure Engineer (ISP & MSP)

Job summary

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be part of the Technical Operations Team, responsible for building, maintaining, and deploying internal and external networks and managed customer environments.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence
• experience in helpdesk or technical support
• experience in MSP or enterprise IT environment
• understanding of Microsoft 365 administration
• experience with Remote Monitoring & Management tools
• ability to meet KPIs
• understanding of computer networking principles
• knowledge of xPON / full fibre networking technologies
• experience with monitoring tools
• knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server
• knowledge of Linux systems

Responsibilities

• design, build, and maintain ISP and MSP platforms
• ensure hosting and reliability of services
• monitor systems and manage incidents
• build and support network and IT solutions
• maintain and optimize service environments
• execute preventative maintenance and improvements
• manage internal IT systems and MSP platforms
• respond to customer queries accurately
• deliver high-quality support experience
• troubleshoot and resolve issues
• maintain infrastructure and service platforms
• apply ITIL practices
• create and maintain technical documentation
• identify continuous improvement opportunities
• provide out-of-hours support as needed
• assist in setup and deployment of IT equipment
• support day-to-day infrastructure operations
• install networking and IT equipment
• liaise with suppliers and internal teams
• provide effective technical support
