Job summary
Maintains, improves and modernises enterprise Linux platforms that support business-critical services in a complex 24/7 operational environment. Leads infrastructure enhancements, automation and Infrastructure as Code, while ensuring reliability, resilience and security through monitoring, performance optimisation, incident resolution and disaster recovery. The role also supports platforms for AI, analytics and data-driven innovation.

Qualifications
- Significant experience managing and supporting enterprise Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, platform administration and infrastructure management.
- Experience with automation and scripting tools.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code and modern platform engineering approaches.
- Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical environments.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, virtualisation and container platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with structured operational and change management processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and continuously improve enterprise Linux infrastructure services.
- Lead delivery of infrastructure enhancements, upgrades and modernisation initiatives.
- Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code to improve consistency and operational efficiency.
- Monitor, maintain and optimise the performance of business-critical systems.
- Lead incident resolution and root cause analysis for complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with architects, security specialists, project teams and suppliers.
- Ensure infrastructure meets cybersecurity, compliance and operational resilience requirements.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning, testing and service continuity.
- Support technology initiatives for AI, analytics and data-driven innovation.
