Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will design, implement, and support enterprise-grade infrastructure platforms, focusing on VMware virtualization and hybrid cloud architectures with Microsoft Azure. This role involves providing technical expertise, leading root cause analysis, and ensuring secure and highly available services while fostering strong relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with VMware virtualization platforms in enterprise environments
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architectures
• Hands-on expertise with Windows Server technologies (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SQL Server)
• Experience with infrastructure automation using PowerShell, PowerCLI or similar

Responsibilities

• Act as go-to person across customer accounts, supporting both internal and external requirements
• Provide 3rd line technical expertise, resolving complex infrastructure and platform issues
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement to minimise service impact
• Design, build and support VMware and Azure hybrid infrastructure solutions
• Produce and peer review low-level designs and support solution development
• Support pre-staging, testing, and deployment of infrastructure solutions
• Provide technical input into customer engagements, proposals and presentations
