Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving the organization's IT infrastructure and cloud platforms, ensuring secure and scalable infrastructure aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years infrastructure engineering experience
• 3+ years cloud engineering experience
• Experience designing secure enterprise infrastructure solutions
• Experience in an enterprise environment with outsourced MSP services
• Proven experience managing technical relationships with MSPs

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Infrastructure Engineering function
• Define and maintain infrastructure standards and architectures
• Review and approve technical designs and change requests
• Act as the primary technical liaison between internal IT teams and external MSP partners
• Oversee lifecycle management of servers, storage, and data centre technologies
• Manage third-party suppliers and technology vendors
• Ensure infrastructure services meet availability and performance requirements
• Lead capacity planning and infrastructure modernisation initiatives
• Establish governance processes and technical standards for service delivery
• Provide technical leadership for technology programmes and projects
• Manage infrastructure-related budgets and vendor relationships
