The Senior Infrastructure Engineer manages and scales application infrastructure across company data centers and AWS, emphasizing infrastructure as code, security, automation, and reliable operations. Qualifications
- At least 6 years of professional industry experience, including at least 2 years at a SaaS startup
- Strong Terraform or OpenTofu experience using a DRY methodology
- Experience with infrastructure as code and Ansible configuration management
- Strong AWS experience; GovCloud, Azure, or GCP experience is a bonus
- Experience owning data center infrastructure
- Experience with secrets management products such as HashiCorp Vault
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes on premises and in the cloud
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with PXE, DHCP, TFTP, and their interaction
- Experience operating SaaS applications under compliance regimes
- Experience with security best practices, availability engineering, performance metrics, and monitoring
- Experience with Cloudflare
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure for applications and services across data centers and AWS
- Automate deployments and improve infrastructure design, performance, and testing
- Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable deployment and configuration systems
- Collaborate with DevOps and cross-functional engineering teams
- Mentor other engineers
