Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

PGI is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of their IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years’ experience in Microsoft-based on-prem and SaaS infrastructure engineering
• Expertise in Microsoft technologies
• Knowledge of switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, IP networks, Wi-Fi, and virtualisation
• Experience in PowerShell scripting
• Proven track record of leading infrastructure projects
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure infrastructure solutions
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure architecture
• Lead technical design and implementation of new infrastructure projects
• Prepare project quotes with cost and time estimates
• Deliver high-quality, functional, and well-documented solutions
• Collaborate with IT team and business stakeholders
• Share knowledge to upskill team members
• Manage and maintain core infrastructure components
• Implement and oversee IT Change Management process
• Serve as point of escalation for complex support issues
• Contribute to security policies and procedures
• Conduct security assessments and audits
• Plan resolutions for findings from penetration tests
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Provide data for reports on infrastructure performance
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends
• Lead initiatives to automate and streamline infrastructure management tasks
