Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will lead the Infrastructure team, focusing on building and managing cloud environments, particularly through Kubernetes and AWS. Key responsibilities include owning the EKS cluster module, managing infrastructure migrations, and consolidating observability onto Datadog while ensuring security and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering with ownership of production systems.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and Terraform or similar tools.
• Strong AWS knowledge: networking, IAM, and core services.
• Experience with Datadog or similar observability tools.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Focus on creating simple, durable systems and prioritizing delivery.
• Bonus: experience in a regulated or healthcare environment (HIPAA / PHI).

Responsibilities

• Build EKS cluster module and establish patterns for other teams.
• Manage cluster operations and oversee dev, staging, and production environments.
• Facilitate infrastructure migrations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Consolidate infrastructure observability using Datadog and set standards.
• Maintain AWS infrastructure, focusing on networking, IAM, and core services.
