Job summary
Provides senior technical leadership for enterprise Unified Communications services, delivering complex implementations and acting as the third-line escalation point for critical voice, signalling, and conferencing issues. The role covers Microsoft Teams Voice, SIP trunking, Session Border Controllers, AudioCodes, meeting room technologies, and service automation, alongside technical documentation, incident management, and mentoring engineers.
Qualifications
- Experience designing and implementing complex Unified Communications changes, including Microsoft Teams Voice, SIP trunking, and Session Border Controllers.
- Experience supporting enterprise voice platforms, including AudioCodes devices, Session Border Controllers, or similar telephony infrastructure.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving high-priority incidents using packet captures, SIP signalling analysis, or audio/video quality analysis.
- Ability to lead technical work packages and mentor junior engineers.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Experience with Teams Rooms, device management platforms, AV technologies, or enterprise contact centres is desirable.
- Relevant industry certification or equivalent experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and quality-assure complex Unified Communications changes and large-scale deployments.
- Manage and support Unified Communications systems and meeting room technologies.
- Lead change management and major incident management.
- Resolve complex third-line incidents involving voice quality, SIP signalling, and conferencing; perform root cause analysis.
- Create technical documentation, including SIP call-flow diagrams, runbooks, and meeting room configuration standards.
- Mentor engineers, review configuration work, and share engineering best practices.
- Identify and implement service improvements and automation to reduce manual work and improve resilience.
