Job summary
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer – VMware & Data Center is tasked with managing and maintaining virtualization, storage, backup, and data center infrastructure within NATO's IaaS environment. Responsibilities include daily operations, supporting design and implementation of hosting services, and ensuring compliance with security requirements and SLAs while troubleshooting infrastructure issues.
Qualifications
- strong practical knowledge of data centre infrastructure, operations, technologies, and standards
- hands-on experience with VMware vSphere 7 or above
- practical experience with Active Directory
- practical experience with Windows Server
- practical experience with Red Hat Linux
Responsibilities
- perform daily operation and maintenance of IaaS services
- support senior technicians, engineers, and IaaS Service Delivery Managers with infrastructure activities
- administer and maintain virtual infrastructure
- monitor data centre hardware and perform daily physical equipment checks
- troubleshoot data centre infrastructure and assist with timely incident resolution
