Job summary

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer – VMware & Microsoft will provide advanced technical engineering support for NATO's Deployable Communication and Information System (DCIS) environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience implementing and maintaining VMware infrastructure
• In-depth knowledge of VMware technologies
• Strong knowledge of storage technologies
• Strong knowledge of VEEAM Backup & Replication
• Strong Microsoft infrastructure administration experience
• Strong experience with Active Directory
• Strong troubleshooting skills for client operating systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• English proficiency of at least NATO STANAG 6001 SLP 3333
• Understanding of NATO Command structures and roles
• Knowledge of NATO Enterprise Architecture and DCIS services

Responsibilities

• Configure Core Services components according to approved technical designs
• Integrate and validate Core Services with network infrastructure
• Configure and prepare DCIS kits for operational deployment
• Support deployment and operational readiness activities
• Maintain and update system documentation
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Diagnose and resolve Core Services infrastructure issues
• Support continuous monitoring and maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with NATO/NCIA security procedures
• Identify and escalate technical risks and issues
• Participate in operational and service review meetings
• Identify opportunities for service optimization
• Track corrective and preventive actions
• Produce progress and performance reports
• Provide ad hoc technical reports
• Maintain accurate records of technical activities
