Job summary

The Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator, DevOps builds and automates a cloud environment, with a focus on the Cloudnxt Azure foundation and migrating products to a shared platform. The role delivers Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code, automated deployments and CI/CD pipelines, while supporting Windows and Linux environments and documenting operational procedures. The team uses technologies including Azure, Jenkins, Git, Python, PowerShell, Ansible and generative AI tools such as Claude.

• Practical experience delivering Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Experience with a major cloud platform; Azure is preferred, and relevant AWS experience is also considered.
• Software engineering capability demonstrated through development, advanced scripting or automation projects.
• Programming or scripting experience with a relevant language such as Python, PowerShell, Bash or Java.
• Experience automating Microsoft and Windows environments and willingness to work with Windows and Linux.
• Experience with CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or equivalents.
• Automation-focused engineering mindset and ability to learn unfamiliar technologies.
• Willingness to use generative AI in engineering workflows and evaluate and improve its outputs.
• Hands-on Azure experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, migrations or landing zones.
• Experience with Ansible or other configuration management technologies.
• Knowledge of monitoring, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, vulnerability remediation or cloud security.
• Experience using Claude or another generative AI assistant for engineering, troubleshooting, log analysis or documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Support product migrations to the Cloudnxt Azure platform.
• Replace manual infrastructure processes with repeatable, version-controlled automation across Microsoft and Linux environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using Jenkins or equivalent tools.
• Use generative AI tools to support coding, automation, troubleshooting and documentation, reviewing and validating outputs.
• Create technical documentation, procedures and runbooks, and contribute to operational support when required.
