Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

As a Senior IT Infrastructure & Security Architect, you will shape the technical foundation and security level of our hybrid IT landscape across Berlin, Frankfurt, and Hamburg. You will be responsible for translating regulatory requirements into scalable architecture concepts and ensuring their implementation while managing infrastructure projects and IT security policies.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a system administrator or similar role
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management
• Knowledge in systems security and data backup/recovery
• Ability to create scripts in Shell, Python, Perl, or other languages
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Fluent in German, solid English skills
• Team player with clear and open communication
• Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage IT infrastructure across Berlin, Frankfurt, and Hamburg
• Plan and oversee infrastructure projects independently
• Manage cross-site platform landscape including architecture and access standards
• Implement IT security policies and governance standards, conduct risk assessments
• Serve as a point of contact for infrastructure issues and collaborate with external service providers
• Design and manage cross-site Mobile Device Management (MDM)
• Ensure consistent technical documentation
• Engage hands-on in complex projects and critical incidents
