Job summary

The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer at BorgWarner is responsible for ensuring reliable and secure plant IT infrastructure while supporting IT/OT convergence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or comparable experience
• Strong experience in plant/site IT infrastructure
• Hands-on familiarity with end-user computing in manufacturing
• Working knowledge of core enterprise services and dependencies
• Exposure to plant-specific software solutions
• High-level understanding of application and database concepts
• Experience in OT environments and IT/OT convergence
• Experience in business continuity and disaster recovery activities
• Demonstrated project leadership skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-management mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of security and compliance practices

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of site infrastructure landscape
• Act as technical point of contact for infrastructure incidents
• Support lifecycle activities at site
• Ensure execution and validation of backup/restore procedures
• Provide ownership for end-user computing fundamentals
• Support OT-connected systems with Automation/Engineering
• Implement IT/OT network segmentation and secure connectivity
• Support risk assessments for shopfloor/OT environments
• Lead local infrastructure projects
• Coordinate site readiness for global deployments
• Manage local delivery governance
• Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery readiness
• Execute security controls and compliance requirements
• Drive continuous improvement of operational procedures
• Serve as liaison between plant leadership and IT teams
• Coordinate on-site activities for vendors
