Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Own the IT infrastructure of an aerospace manufacturing site and lead or co-lead complex digital infrastructure projects. Develop and maintain virtualization, storage, backup, and database systems; map dependencies across applications, servers, and industrial endpoints; and sustain network segmentation between corporate IT, OT, and IoT environments. Ensure security, patching, recovery, and continuity requirements, provide third-level escalation, and support operational handovers.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of IT infrastructure experience supporting complex environments, preferably in an industrial field.
• At least 4 years of experience leading complex projects.
• Broad expertise in virtualization, storage, databases, identity management, and Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills in French and English.
• Ability to work autonomously, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to build working relationships across organizational levels.
• Adaptability, learning agility, and experience mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of site IT infrastructure.
• Lead or co-lead complex and global digital infrastructure and IT projects.
• Develop and maintain virtualization, storage, and backup systems.
• Maintain, back up, migrate, and consolidate databases across multiple technologies.
• Map dependencies among applications, servers, and industrial endpoints.
• Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain segmentation between corporate IT, OT, and IoT environments.
• Ensure infrastructure meets security, patching, and lifecycle requirements.
• Provide third-level technical escalation.
• Coordinate infrastructure services, technical changes, and projects with external IT and service vendors.
• Transfer knowledge and support operational handovers.
• Deputize for the Support Lead and oversee day-to-day support operations when required.
