Senior Java Platform Engineer role in Geneva, Switzerland focused on designing, developing, and maintaining critical back-end services and APIs.

Qualifications

• 7 to 15 years of experience in software development and application support.
• Strong proficiency in Java (versions 8 to 17), Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Solid knowledge in designing REST and SOAP APIs, HTTP protocols, and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
• Experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server, including JPA/Hibernate, SQL, Liquibase, and PL/SQL.
• Good mastery of DevOps tools and practices: Git, Maven, YAML-based CI/CD pipelines, and test automation.
• Knowledge of application security, including OAuth2/OIDC, Kerberos, and common vulnerability prevention.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber; exposure to Jest is a plus.
• Fluent English required, with good communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end services in Java and scalable APIs.
• Implement and evolve REST and SOAP interfaces, ensuring compliance with architecture standards.
• Occasionally develop administration interfaces or operational support tools in Vue.js or Angular.
• Integrate and optimize access to Oracle and MS SQL Server databases using JPA/Hibernate and SQL best practices.
• Contribute to automation of build, test, and deployment processes within CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply application security standards, including authentication, authorization, and secure development.
• Participate in production support activities, incident analysis, and actions to improve platform performance and stability.
• Produce necessary technical documentation and collaborate with development, quality, and security teams.
