Senior Kubernetes Architect - On Premises Cloud (m/w/d)

Job summary

The Senior Kubernetes Architect for On-Premises Cloud is responsible for designing and operating private cloud solutions, focusing on high-availability, scalable, and secure Kubernetes clusters. Key responsibilities include implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible, designing complex container networks, and providing technical guidance for application migration to the On-Prem cloud.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Cloud Architect, Platform Engineer, or Senior DevOps Engineer
• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes architecture
• Deep understanding of Linux operating systems, virtualization, and ideally bare-metal provisioning
• Strong knowledge of traditional and containerized network protocols
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines
• Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• End-to-End responsibility for the design and operation of container platforms
• Design and development of high-availability, scalable, and secure Kubernetes clusters in on-premises environments
• Selection, evaluation, and integration of CNCF technologies for local data centers
• Design of complex container networks
• Implementation of Zero-Trust concepts, Network Policies, and Pod Security Standards
• Establishment of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform/Ansible and GitOps workflows
• Design of monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions
• Technical consulting for development teams during application migration to the on-prem cloud
