Job summary
As a Senior Kubernetes Architect, you will design, build, and operate highly scalable Kubernetes and container platforms in complex cloud and hybrid environments. You will define target architectures, platform standards, and automation strategies for Kubernetes environments, and be responsible for the design, operation, and troubleshooting of modern container ecosystems. Additionally, you will advise clients on cloud integrations, sovereignty, security, compliance, and scaling strategies.

Qualifications
- Several years of experience in designing and operating Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Rancher platforms.
- Profound knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google, Sovereign Clouds).
- Deep expertise in CI/CD, GitOps, IaC (Terraform/Ansible), and container security.
- Experience with Service Mesh, Ingress, Policy Engines (OPA/Kyverno), and Observability stacks.
- Strong understanding of scaling, high availability, and network design in container environments.
- Confident demeanor in customer communication, architectural decisions, and escalations.
- Very good German and English language skills.
- Willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate highly scalable Kubernetes and container platforms in complex cloud and hybrid environments.
- Define target architectures, platform standards, and automation strategies for Kubernetes environments.
- Responsible for design, operation, and troubleshooting of modern container ecosystems (Rancher, OpenShift, Vanilla K8s).
- Shape GitOps, CI/CD, and IaC frameworks for repeatable and secure deployments.
- Advise clients on cloud integrations, sovereignty, security, compliance, and scaling strategies.
- Conduct technical reviews, lead modernization programs, and coach engineers.
- Drive observability, automation, and reliability across the entire platform stack.
