Senior Kubernetes / Cloud Platform Engineer

Job summary

This senior platform engineering role focuses on deploying and operating enterprise Kubernetes environments across public cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The engineer will build, secure, scale, and maintain clusters; automate provisioning and upgrades with Terraform, Ansible, and scripting; and troubleshoot production issues across Kubernetes, Linux, networking, and cloud platforms. The role supports a 24x7 follow-the-sun operating model with regional team handoffs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AKS, EKS, GKE, Red Hat OpenShift, and on-premises Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and configuration management.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash/Shell, or PowerShell for infrastructure automation and operational support.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, load balancing, RBAC, network policies, and container security.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, and automated infrastructure or application deployments.
• Senior infrastructure or cloud engineering experience supporting enterprise production environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, maintain, and scale Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Build and maintain highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient container infrastructure.
• Automate cluster provisioning, upgrades, patching, and ongoing maintenance.
• Troubleshoot production issues across Kubernetes, Linux, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Support Kubernetes lifecycle management, monitoring, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on platform improvements and operational automation.
