Job summary
The Senior Lead Platform Engineer at Hilton will collaborate with Leads and Architects to define development patterns for REST APIs, gather requirements, and develop, test, and deploy APIs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or higher, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- five (5) years of experience in Technology, Senior Consultant, or related occupation
- progressive experience in Java/Java 8, Spring MVC, Struts 2, Oracle, JavaJ2EE, Junit 5, Couch DB, REST web services, Kafka, and Docker
- performing unit testing, utilizing Junit, and using cucumber for integration testing
- Microservices development, applying the Dropwizard framework
- utilizing CSS3, Jquery, Hibernate, and AJAX
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Leads and Architects to define development patterns for REST APIs
- Gather requirements, create design documents, and develop, test, and deploy APIs
- Provide technical solutions, enforce coding standards, and address production incidents
- Contribute to continuous improvement while adhering to Enterprise Architecture standards
