Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and processes
• Practical cloud native experience, deploying Kubernetes applications
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows

Responsibilities

• Sets technical direction for platform engineering across squads
• Develops secure high-quality production code
• Designs and develops composable infrastructure systems
• Designs, builds, and operates Kubernetes-based platform services
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues
• Provides operational support and leadership for production systems
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors
• Leads and grows communities of practice across Software Engineering
• Coaches and mentors engineers
• Drives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices
