Job summary

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you will set technical direction for platform engineering, develop secure high-quality production code, and mentor other technical leaders.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming languages, such as Go, Java, or Kotlin
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Proficiency in software applications and processes within a technical domain
• Practical cloud native experience deploying Kubernetes applications on a cloud service provider
• Experience leading effective use of AI-assisted software development tools
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for platform engineering across squads
• Develop secure high-quality production code and review code written by others
• Design and develop composable infrastructure systems and capabilities
• Design, build, and operate Kubernetes-based platform services
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues
• Provide operational support and leadership for production systems
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams
• Grow communities of practice across Software Engineering
• Coach and mentor engineers to develop technical leadership capability
• Drive adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices
• Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain
