Job summary

Join our Point of Sale Edge platform team as a Senior or Expert Linux DevOps Engineer. You will be responsible for developing, automating, and optimizing IT systems, ensuring code and system quality, and integrating AI-driven tools. We are looking for someone with experience in DevOps with Linux bare-metal environments and strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Kotlin.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a degree in computer science or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in DevOps with Linux bare-metal environments
• Profound knowledge in software development with Java, Python, or Kotlin
• Practical experience and interest in AI technologies and LLMs, such as AI-powered development tools
• Agile mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent German language skills (at least C1)

Responsibilities

• Manage the Point of Sale Edge platform
• Develop software using pair programming
• Automate IT infrastructure
• Perform requirements engineering and project management tasks
• Develop, automate, and optimize IT systems and processes
• Ensure code and system quality through code reviews, pair programming, complexity reduction, and automated tests
• Guarantee performance, availability, security, maintainability, and scalability of systems
• Integrate and utilize AI-powered tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to increase efficiency in software development
• Conduct requirements engineering and project management for specific topics
• Contribute to team design and development
• Participate in on-call duty
