Job summary

The Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer is tasked with managing Linux server administration, OS upgrades, and automation within complex enterprise environments. Key responsibilities include executing in-place upgrades from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8, configuring Veritas Cluster Server and Volume Manager, and developing automation solutions using Ansible for system provisioning and compliance management.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Linux Administration (RHEL 7/8).
• Hands-on experience with RHEL 7 to 8 In-Place Upgrades.
• Expertise in Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) and Volume Manager (VXVM).
• Experience managing high-availability clusters.
• Experience with Shell and basic Perl scripting.
• Knowledge of RAC cluster setup prerequisites.
• Experience with OS compliance tools.
• Strong understanding of storage, HBA, and NIC load balancing.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation.
• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD practices.
• Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Linux administration, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Execute RHEL 7 to RHEL 8 in-place upgrades.
• Perform firmware upgrades and system maintenance.
• Configure and troubleshoot Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) and VXVM.
• Manage VCS service groups and high-availability solutions.
• Configure and troubleshoot HBA, multipathing, and NIC load balancing.
• Support RAC cluster prerequisite setup.
• Implement and maintain OS compliance standards.
• Develop automation using Ansible for provisioning and compliance.
• Create and manage Ansible playbooks and inventories.
• Integrate automation workflows with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform system performance monitoring and incident resolution.
• Provide production support and participate in on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
