Job summary

The Cloud Architect - AWS Kubernetes (EKS) role focuses on designing secure, resilient, and scalable container platforms for a UK government law enforcement cloud programme. Responsibilities include architecting container solutions on AWS, leading Kubernetes configuration and deployment, and establishing monitoring capabilities using tools like CloudWatch and Prometheus.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in AWS cloud architecture
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services and networking
• Practical experience with Amazon ECS and Fargate
• Strong infrastructure-as-code and automation capability using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation or comparable tools
• Active SC and NPPV3 clearance, or the willingness and ability to obtain both

Responsibilities

• Architect highly available, scalable and secure container solutions on AWS using Amazon EKS, ECS and Fargate
• Lead the configuration, deployment and ongoing evolution of Kubernetes and container environments
• Build reusable infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
• Design secure CI/CD approaches for containerized workloads
• Establish effective monitoring, logging and incident-management capabilities
