Job summary
As a Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering at JPMorgan Chase, you will be the non-functional requirement owner and champion for applications within the Enterprise technology, liquidity risk team. This role involves driving continual improvement in customer experience, resiliency, security, scalability, monitoring, instrumentation, and automation of software, while acting in a blameless, data-driven manner.
Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
- Advanced proficiency in site reliability culture and principles, with ability to implement site reliability across application and platform teams
- Experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technological issues at a firmwide level
- Ability to influence team culture by championing innovation and change
- Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java Spring Boot, .Net)
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)
- Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform)
- Experience with container and container orchestration (e.g., ECS, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues
- Ability to code and demonstrate data fluency (preferred)

- Drive the adoption of site reliability practices throughout the organization
- Ensure teams demonstrate site reliability best practices through stability and reliability metrics
- Drive a culture of continual improvement and solicit real-time feedback to enhance customer experience
- Ensure team collaboration with other teams to avoid duplication of work
- Follow blameless, data-driven, post-mortem strategies and conduct regular team debriefs for learning
- Provide personalized coaching for entry to mid-level team members
- Ensure team documents and shares knowledge and innovations via internal forums, communities of practice, guilds, and conferences
