Job summary
The Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer designs, operates, secures, and optimises enterprise networks across geographically dispersed global power generation and corporate environments. The role covers Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, Microsoft Azure hybrid connectivity, incident response, network architecture, migrations, security and compliance, and technical mentorship. After-hours support and domestic or international travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Extensive enterprise networking experience in complex, geographically dispersed, multi-site environments
- Proven experience designing, implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise networks
- Strong knowledge of networking principles, architectures, and best practices
- Experience supporting highly available and secure environments
- Experience with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and operational support
- Experience working with global telecommunications providers and managed service vendors
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and designs
- Strong analytical, communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, support, and optimise global enterprise network infrastructure
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for complex network incidents
- Manage Palo Alto firewall platforms, policies, VPNs, and network security controls
- Design and maintain Cisco, Azure, and hybrid cloud connectivity solutions
- Lead network transformations, migrations, upgrades, and resilience improvements
- Maintain technical designs, diagrams, standards, and operational documentation
- Support cybersecurity incident response, audits, compliance, and vulnerability remediation
- Coordinate with providers, vendors, and internal infrastructure, cloud, security, and operational technology teams
- Mentor junior personnel and provide senior technical escalation
