Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer maintains and improves enterprise networking, server, storage, backup, and virtualisation platforms in a secure, highly regulated environment. The role configures Cisco technologies such as Nexus, ISE, SD-WAN, and VXLAN; supports Palo Alto firewalls, F5 BIG-IP, Azure networking, Windows, Linux, and VMware; and contributes to troubleshooting, upgrades, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship
• Active Baseline Defence Security Clearance or higher
• Hands-on Cisco networking experience, including Nexus, Cisco ISE, SD-WAN, and data centre networking
• Experience supporting Palo Alto firewalls and enterprise network security
• Experience with F5 BIG-IP load balancers and Azure cloud networking
• Experience supporting Windows Server, Linux, and VMware
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex enterprise infrastructure issues
• Knowledge of operational practices, including monitoring, patching, documentation, and change control
• Exposure to enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies is desirable
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform is desirable

Responsibilities

• Maintain enterprise network, server, storage, backup, and virtualisation platforms
• Configure, administer, and optimise Cisco network environments
• Support Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, and remote connectivity
• Administer F5 BIG-IP load balancers and Azure networking services
• Maintain Windows, Linux, and VMware environments for availability, performance, and security
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and connectivity issues
• Perform upgrades, patching, monitoring, lifecycle management, and capacity planning
• Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery testing, and operational resilience
• Contribute to incident, problem, and change management
