Job summary

Seeking an experienced Senior OpenShift / Kubernetes Platform Engineer for engineering, operation, automation, and continuous improvement of the Bank’s enterprise OpenShift and Kubernetes platform.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in OpenShift/Kubernetes platform engineering.
  • Strong expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with OVN-K, Ceph/CSI, Quay, Argo CD/GitOps, Velero, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Proficiency in Bash, Python, and Go scripting.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of automation and cloud-native technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Bank’s OpenShift and Kubernetes platform.
  • Ensure platform stability, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Manage platform lifecycle including installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Participate in on-call support schedule.
  • Design and operate enterprise-grade Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
  • Manage networking, storage, security, and cluster services.
  • Develop reusable container platform standards and templates.
  • Support teams in adopting cloud-native technologies.
  • Provide architectural guidance for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using IaC principles.
  • Build automation frameworks using Ansible, Terraform, and GitOps.
  • Improve operational efficiency through scripting and automation.
  • Standardize platform configuration management.
  • Design and maintain GitOps workflows using Argo CD.
  • Integrate CI/CD pipelines into deployment processes.
  • Promote DevOps best practices.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams for automated deployment.
  • Integrate security scanning and compliance controls.
  • Ensure alignment with security standards and governance.
  • Design resilient platform architectures.
