Job summary

As a Senior Platform & DevOps Engineer, responsible for building and operating open-source cloud environments and planning applications on Kubernetes platforms.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field with relevant experience
• Extensive experience in building and operating Kubernetes-based cloud platforms
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and declarative deployment methods
• Experience in software development, automation, and scripting
• Experience with agile development methods and modern version control
• Experience in Identity & Access Management and system hardening
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux
• Experience with Git, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Experience with Helm Charts and declarative deployments
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and deployment automation
• Experience with TalOS, Proxmox, and/or NixOS
• Knowledge of scripting and programming languages for automation
• Familiarity with modern software development processes
• Desirable knowledge of Vue.js or similar UI frameworks
• Basic knowledge of cloud technologies is a plus
• Fluent in German (C1) and good English (B1)

Responsibilities

• Build and operate open-source cloud environments using TalOS, Proxmox, and NixOS
• Plan and roll out applications on Kubernetes-based platforms
• Automate deployment and operational processes using Git, Helm Charts, and CI/CD pipelines
• Design and optimize declarative infrastructure and deployment concepts
• Administer and secure container-based cloud infrastructures including role and rights management
• Participate in exercises to validate cloud stacks
• Develop and maintain automation, scripting, and software solutions for platform operations
• Support continuous development of the cloud platform and applications
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams in agile environments
• Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials
