Senior Platform/DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Platform/DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, building, securing, and operating the Azure cloud infrastructure that supports the Snowflake data warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in platform engineering or DevOps
• Three years of experience supporting Snowflake in production
• Experience designing and operating Azure infrastructure
• Experience with batch data ingestion and reconciliation

Responsibilities

• Operate the Azure foundation for the data platform
• Maintain Azure storage services for data ingestion
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes
• Operate ingestion of overnight batch extract files
• Administer Snowflake platform components
• Maintain data protection controls for customer information
• Optimize Snowflake SQL for performance
• Implement observability for the load cycle
• Support regulatory examinations and audits
• Maintain disaster-recovery readiness for the data platform
• Collaborate with data/BI and compliance stakeholders
• Maintain technical documentation
• Provide technical guidance to IT peers
