Job summary

The Senior Platform Engineer role is focused on leading the development and management of secure and resilient technology platforms that align with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include providing technical leadership across enterprise infrastructure and cloud services, managing the lifecycle of technology platforms, and ensuring operational readiness for new services, particularly with Azure, Microsoft 365, and SaaS technologies.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in senior infrastructure or cloud roles
• Proven experience leading enterprise infrastructure or SaaS services
• Experience delivering operationally critical technology services
• Extensive experience in hybrid infrastructure and cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and VMware
• Experience leading complex technical implementations
• Strong supplier-management experience
• Experience in technical troubleshooting and service restoration
• Proven ability to influence technical direction and standards

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical authority for assigned technology platforms
• Provide technical leadership across enterprise infrastructure and cloud services
• Own the full lifecycle of technology platforms
• Lead the design and implementation of complex technology solutions
• Translate architectural designs into operational services
• Lead service acceptance and operational readiness activities
• Provide technical ownership for Azure, Microsoft 365, and SaaS platforms
• Drive the adoption of automation and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Maintain secure technology platforms through effective management
• Lead resilience and disaster recovery activities
• Build relationships with suppliers and service providers
• Deputise for the Infrastructure Manager when required
