Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Platform Engineer role involves owning a platform domain end-to-end, focusing on architecture, reliability, and roadmap for cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability. Key responsibilities include designing resilient multi-tenant platform services, leading incident response, and implementing security controls in a regulated payments environment, utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes/OpenShift, Terraform, and AI-ready infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in software engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering roles
• Strong critical thinking
• Strong systems thinking
• Solid, applied knowledge of SaaS, cloud-native architecture, Linux, networking, and distributed systems fundamentals
• Hands-on experience designing and operating resilient, multi-tenant, cloud-native platform services
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform
• Strong experience with modern CI/CD practices
• Experience designing observability capabilities
• Experience implementing security, governance, or compliance controls
