Job summary
Design, build, and evolve internal platforms and shared engineering tools to support software delivery and improve developer experience. Enable product teams to deliver high-quality software quickly, safely, and at scale. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other Platform Engineers.

Qualifications
- Strong experience designing and operating internal platforms and shared engineering tooling
- Experience improving developer workflows, developer experience, and software delivery practices
- Solid understanding of modern software engineering, platform patterns, and delivery workflows
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript or Go
- Experience building and supporting Internal Developer Platforms
- Experience working with data platforms, ELT workflows, DBT, and SQL-based data pipelines
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, containerization, and infrastructure as code
- Experience building self-service tooling, templates, and developer enablement capabilities
- Experience with monitoring and observability
- Good understanding of security best practices in software delivery and platform design
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor others, and influence adoption of engineering best practices
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve internal platforms and shared engineering tools
- Improve developer experience and enable product teams to deliver high-quality software quickly, safely, and at scale
- Increase the pace of change across engineering
- Work across platform capabilities, shared tooling, and engineering enablement
- Contribute to the design, development, and ongoing improvement of platform solutions
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams
- Support adoption of platform capabilities
- Mentor other Platform Engineers
- Maintain and evolve core engineering platforms, including Backstage and internal developer portal capabilities
- Maintain and evolve engineering data platforms, including ELT workflows, DBT, and SQL-based data pipelines
- Maintain and evolve observability and monitoring Grafana platforms
- Maintain and evolve internal automation and workflow platforms that support software delivery and engineering operations
- Streamline software delivery workflows and engineering practices
- Support integration across internal platforms and tooling
- Improve developer experience through self-service tooling, templates, and golden paths
- Use engineering insights and data to drive continuous improvement
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams
- Drive adoption of modern platform tools and practices
- Mentor Platform Engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team
