Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Senior Platform Engineer role focuses on enhancing developer experience and observability within the engineering team. Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines, improving internal tools, and ensuring security practices are integrated into the development process, utilizing technologies such as Google Cloud, TypeScript, and Datadog.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform, developer productivity, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles
• Experience improving CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of observability (RUM, APM, metrics, logs)
• Comfort with TypeScript codebase
• Hands-on experience with major cloud (GCP preferred)
• Security mindset in design and implementation
• Fluency with AI tools

Responsibilities

• Work with SRE team to make observability self-serve
• Make CI/CD faster and more reliable across web, backend, iOS, and Android
• Partner with QA for automated testing integration
• Build internal tools to reduce toil
• Set standards for AI tool usage among engineers
• Evolve Google Cloud infrastructure through infrastructure as code
• Streamline vulnerability detection and management
