Job summary
Develop and operate a central analytics platform for analytics and pricing, shaping its architecture and ongoing technical direction. The role automates an Azure-based platform and infrastructure with Terraform, maintains a Docker-based development environment using VS Code, and establishes standards and self-service capabilities for data scientists and actuaries. It also supports teams with GitLab, Git workflows, Python projects, CI/CD, reusable tools, and modern software engineering practices.

Qualifications
- Relevant academic degree, such as computer science or IT security.
- Several years of experience as a cloud, DevOps, or platform engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and modern cloud architectures.
- Proficiency with Git, GitLab Enterprise, and CI/CD, and understanding of modern software development processes and developer experience.
- Strong Python skills and experience with automation, dependency management, packaging, and reusable tools.
- Experience building standardized development platforms and establishing technical standards and self-service concepts.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics and advise data scientists and actuaries.
- Structured, independent, service-oriented approach to work and a focus on sustainable team-wide solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, operate, and continuously improve the central analytics platform for analytics and pricing.
- Shape the platform architecture, operations, and technical direction.
- Develop and automate the Azure-based analytics platform and its infrastructure using Terraform.
- Operate and improve the Docker-based development platform, including VS Code.
- Establish platform standards and enable consistent self-service for data scientists and actuaries.
- Support teams with GitLab, Git workflows, Python projects, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
- Build reusable tools and platform components, advise on technical questions, and deliver training.
