Job summary

Poolarserver is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer / Cloud Platform Architect to build and advance their Kubernetes-based platform. This role involves ensuring a modern, performant, and reliable environment for developers and efficient operation of software solutions. The position focuses on architecture, automation, and operations with significant autonomy.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a comparable role (Platform, DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering)
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (cluster operation, deployment patterns, networking, security)
• Experience with Kubernetes management tools like Rancher
• Experience building platforms on IaaS environments
• Proficiency in GitOps workflows (ideally with ArgoCD or Kargo)
• Routine work with Helm and Helm Charts
• Knowledge in Monitoring & Observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
• Proficiency in Container Build Pipelines, Registries, and Image Management
• Mastery of Infrastructure-as-Code (ideally with Terraform)
• Good understanding of .NET-based applications and their operational requirements
• Experience with Service Mesh, Security-Tools, Backup/Restore strategies, or major Cloud providers (e.g., Azure) is a plus
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and continuously develop the Kubernetes-based platform
• Ensure stable, secure, and efficient deployment and operation processes
• Automate and standardize infrastructure, build, and deployment workflows
• Develop and maintain the platform toolchain (GitOps, CI/CD, Monitoring)
• Collaborate with development teams to provide a developer-friendly environment
• Analyze and optimize systems for performance, stability, security, and cost
• Document best practices and co-design the platform architecture
