Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

Design, build, and evolve platform capabilities to enhance developer experience, security, and delivery velocity.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Go or TypeScript.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native platforms on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Understanding of platform reliability, observability, monitoring, incident management, software security, identity, authentication and authorisation patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable platform capabilities, shared services and internal developer products.
• Create self-service tooling, APIs and automation to reduce manual effort and improve engineering velocity.
• Drive modern platform engineering practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing and secure release patterns.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, performance, resilience and operational maturity.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify delivery friction and convert repeated problems into reusable platform capabilities.
• Build secure-by-design patterns across cloud, identity, secrets, deployment and runtime environments.
• Coach engineers through technical design, code reviews and operational readiness practices.
• Support production systems, incident resolution and post-incident improvement actions.
