Job summary
Own the production platform and release process for e-commerce websites, ensuring they remain available, performant, secure, and deployable. Manage production access, Cloudflare and GitHub Actions CI/CD, weekly releases, monitoring and incident response, dependency security, and platform automation using Python or TypeScript across WP Engine, Sweed, and Next.js.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE experience with production web applications.
- Production experience with Cloudflare, including writing and deploying Workers.
- Experience with GitHub Actions and weekly release processes, including tagging, hotfixes, and rollbacks.
- Experience managing secrets, credential rotation, and least-privilege access.
- Observability experience with Sentry and an APM such as New Relic or Datadog.
- Ability to build tested automation in Python or TypeScript.
- Scrum team experience, daily use of AI coding tools, and clear technical writing.
Responsibilities
- Manage production credentials, access, credential rotation, and least-privilege controls.
- Manage Cloudflare DNS, TLS, caching, security rules, and Workers through Git-based CI deployments.
- Own weekly releases, hotfixes, rollbacks, and post-release verification.
- Maintain GitHub Actions pipelines, required checks, and branch protection.
- Monitor errors, uptime, and performance, including the Sweed integration; respond to incidents and write blameless reviews.
- Diagnose origin and edge performance issues and coordinate Next.js caching strategy with frontend engineers.
- Triage dependency advisories and deliver tested upgrades.
- Build tested Python or TypeScript tooling for GitHub, Jira, and delivery workflows.
- Provision repositories, hosting, edge configuration, monitoring, and access for new brand sites; automate launch procedures.
- Direct and review contractors' platform work.
