Job summary
Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for capacity planning, monitoring, and performance of services, advising on platform components, and leading efforts for multiple systems.
Qualifications
- 7+ years computer system implementation experience
- 3+ years designing enterprise scale distributed systems
- Extensive experience with Windows operating systems and cloud systems
- Experience with Windows server automation and PowerShell
- Experience with Windows configuration management at scale
- Experience troubleshooting performance of distributed systems
- Experience deploying enterprise scale distributed systems
- Fluency in PowerShell, bash, and cloud libraries
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile roles
- Experience implementing CI/CD for multiple projects
- Experience with containerizing workloads and Kubernetes
- Experience with Windows workloads in AWS environment
- Flexible problem-solving approach
- Ability to collaborate with business decision makers
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to refine requirement statements
- Conduct audits and implement remediation measures
- Document solutions and best practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Build platform automation for new platforms, deployment, and remediation tasks
- Enhance observability: monitoring, alerting, and logging for workloads and infrastructure
- Advise development teams on platform and availability issues
- Implement SLIs and health checks
- Plan capacity for services
- Implement CI and deployment pipelines using standard tooling
- Participate in readiness reviews for new services
- Implement platforms and improvements via Infrastructure as Code
- Participate in incident response
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Conduct blameless incident reviews
- Collaborate with security staff to build secure services
- Automate services and platform tasks
