Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

Builds and operates multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure for an AI-enabled banking platform serving Tier-1 financial institutions, targeting five-nines availability and production-scale reliability. The role owns active-active architecture, GitOps delivery, disaster recovery, zero-trust security, observability, and AI-driven SRE automation across cloud, hybrid, on-premises, and air-gapped environments, using technologies such as EKS/GKE/AKS, Terraform, Helm, Flux, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.

Qualifications

• Deep Kubernetes experience, including EKS, GKE, or AKS; operators and CRDs are a bonus.
• Multi-cloud Terraform experience.
• Experience with Flux or Argo CD.
• Knowledge of Kafka or event streaming and distributed SQL databases.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or a similar language.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience designing and owning disaster recovery, high availability, and zero-trust architectures.
• Comfort operating in hybrid-cloud and regulated environments.
• Integrate LLMs and agentic workflows into daily engineering practice.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure for five-nines workloads.
• Architect active-active distributed systems.
• Implement Terraform, Helm, and Flux-based GitOps across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Own disaster recovery, failover, backup and restore, and multi-region resiliency.
• Drive zero-trust security, identity, multi-tenant isolation, and cryptographic audit trails.
• Build and maintain observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
• Lead AI-driven automation for auto-remediation, incident insights, and root cause analysis.
• Support on-premises and air-gapped deployments and legacy integrations.
• Share knowledge, mentor and coach colleagues, and promote engineering best practices.
