The Senior Platform Engineer role is centered on designing, implementing, and managing scalable AWS-based infrastructure to enhance engineering operations. Qualifications
- Strong experience working with AWS in production environments
- Significant hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments, with experience in Amazon EKS
- Experience operating distributed systems and stateful services at scale
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform preferred
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience operating messaging, event-driven and shared platform services
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and operate scalable, secure and resilient AWS-based infrastructure
- Manage and evolve Kubernetes clusters, including EKS
- Automate infrastructure and standardize provisioning and lifecycle management through Infrastructure as Code
- Operate and optimize shared platform services, including RDS, PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, Confluent Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ and Elasticsearch
- Lead improvements in observability, monitoring, alerting, incident response and platform resilience
- Define and track SLIs and SLOs for platform services
