The Senior Platform Engineer role is centered on developing applications and tools for managing infrastructure and continuous deployment systems on a Kubernetes-based hosting platform in AWS. • Strong Troubleshooting and CodeGen AI skills (GitHub Copilot or Claude Code preferred)
• Familiarity with GitOps operating frameworks
• Common AWS services (IAM, S3, EC2, RDS, ElastiCache)
• AWS VPC networking (subnets, routing, multi-AZ)
• Kubernetes (5+ years) in production
• Docker best practices
• Helm best practices
• Common CI systems (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Strong competency with Python and Go
• Linux Shell scripting (5+ years)
• Experience with IaC tools like Pulumi or Terraform

Responsibilities

• Build and manage secure, highly-available cloud infrastructure using Pulumi
• Engineer new platform technologies using various languages and tools
• Support and enhance internal platform tooling
• Regularly update infrastructure components for security
• Ensure systems meet SOC 2 compliance
• Create and manage networking integrations with customer networks
• Monitor and tune performance of microservice applications
• Create documentation and diagrams
• Promote Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure best practices
• Support development teams in application configuration
• Troubleshoot production and networking issues
• Collaborate across technology disciplines
