Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to modernize and transform their global technology platforms, focusing on hybrid infrastructure solutions and cloud enablement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure or cloud engineering roles.
• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud integration.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation practices.
• Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of virtualization, compute, storage, and networking.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and operational tooling.
• Experience in large enterprise or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and support hybrid infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Lead initiatives focused on automation, standardization, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to platform lifecycle management and technology roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain reference architectures and engineering standards.
• Support global infrastructure operations, including remote site environments.
• Build scalable platform services for consistent and secure deployments.
• Support Microsoft Azure services and hybrid management capabilities.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using automation frameworks.
• Implement enterprise monitoring and observability capabilities.
• Participate in solution design reviews and technology evaluations.
