Job summary
VertiGIS is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their DevOps team. The role focuses on the development and standardization of Kubernetes-based deployments, ensuring stable operations in containerized environments. Qualifications
- Experience with Kubernetes and container-based platforms in productive operation
- Understanding of deployment concepts and automation (e.g., CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, deployment templates with Helm or similar approaches)
- Ability to systematically analyze and solve technical problems
- Experience with Linux-based systems
- German C1 language skills
- English B2 language skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and standardize Kubernetes-based deployments with a focus on standardized deployments (e.g., Helm, templates)
- Implement and develop deployment standards for customer environments
- Optimize and simplify existing deployment structures
- Analyze and resolve disruptions in Kubernetes-based environments
- Ensure stable and scalable operating environments
- Understand system behavior and isolate fault causes
- Develop CI/CD processes in the platform context
- Collaborate with development teams (e.g., C++, Java) on deployment and operational requirements
- Contribute to the development of internal standards and platform concepts
