Senior Platform Engineer - Linux & Container (m/w/d)

Job summary

Build, operate, and develop enterprise platform and infrastructure services, with a focus on Linux, container technologies, and cloud-native solutions. Responsibilities include managing OpenShift, Enterprise Linux, AIX, and Ansible; designing compliant architectures and hybrid cloud services; and documenting, integrating, and transitioning solutions into sustainable operations.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience with Enterprise Linux, containerization, and architecture roles in an enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system architecture, container technologies, and orchestration, particularly Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the OpenShift container platform.
• Manage Enterprise Linux and AIX systems, including commissioning, updates, and recovery.
• Operate and develop the Ansible automation platform.
• Design compliant end-to-end architectures for complex IT systems and hybrid cloud services.
• Create operating concepts, architecture blueprints, service descriptions, SLAs, and technical decision documents.
• Integrate solutions into existing service and governance environments, ensuring operational readiness, security, and compliance.
• Support service transition and establish sustainable operating models.
• Coordinate with service owners, operations, architecture, IT security, international project teams, and external providers.
• Assess technologies, market trends, and tools for enterprise platform and infrastructure services.
• Participate in architecture and design boards and enterprise IT committees.
