Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

Lys*** is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their Platform squad within the Data & Infrastructure tribe. The role involves building, maintaining, and scaling system infrastructure, ensuring security and reliability, and enhancing the developer experience for internal teams.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with AWS and resource administration
• Knowledge of data stores management and optimization
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, particularly Terraform
• Python and shell-scripting knowledge
• Proficient with containers in a Linux environment
• Understanding of security and threat landscape
• Knowledge of CI/CD and relevant tooling
• Expertise in logging and monitoring at scale
• Knowledge of a DevOps toolchain
• Competent in Git and GitOps
• Familiarity with managing large application load
• Interest in leveraging AI in Ops or Developer Platform context
• Experience in an Ops/Platform function in a regulated environment
• Experience in an agile environment

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate Terraform, Docker, and GitHub for code deployment
• Manage systems programmatically and build tooling for infrastructure management
• Scale to a billion requests per month using Cloudflare, AWS, and Kubernetes
• Measure application performance and deliver insights to engineering teams
• Drive engineering teams to own their infrastructure and costs
• Set standards for access control and auditing
