Job summary

The Senior Platform Engineer is tasked with evolving the Azure cloud platform to support significant scale, enabling rapid and cost-effective infrastructure delivery for application teams and AI coding agents. Key responsibilities include architecting for elasticity and resilience, defining the platform's reliability strategy, and implementing CI/CD processes using GitOps and progressive delivery.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, serverless architectures, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Proven experience scaling cloud platforms under high growth and governing AI-assisted development workflows
• Strong background applying policy-as-code alongside security and compliance frameworks
• Excellent project and program management skills
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity

Responsibilities

• Architect for elasticity, multi-region resilience, and predictable performance
• Own the platform's reliability strategy by defining SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
• Implement end-to-end observability and symptom-based alerting
• Own the deployment platform and architect a secure, auto-scaling fleet of ephemeral build agents
• Establish the guardrails, policy-as-code, and least-privilege access required to safely govern AI-generated infrastructure
• Act as the connective tissue between app teams and platform engineering
