Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

Provides operational support for mission-critical middleware and enterprise platforms that underpin payment and integration services, helping maintain stability, availability, and performance. The role covers production platform administration, incident monitoring and resolution, live change implementation, on-call support, and service improvement, using technologies such as Oracle WebLogic Server, Tivoli, SWIFT messaging, and GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise middleware and production platforms in a mission-critical environment.
• Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server administration and support.
• Familiarity with Tivoli technologies.
• Experience supporting SWIFT messaging systems and services.
• Knowledge of GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer platforms.
• Understanding of the supported Vocalink services and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary support for Middleware Production Platform Administration activities.
• Participate in an on-call support rota, including weekday and weekend coverage.
• Implement live production changes in accordance with change management processes.
• Partner with the Operations and Platform Administration team on day-to-day operational activities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents to maintain service availability and performance.
• Support critical payment and integration platforms and meet service-level commitments.
• Maintain operational documentation, share knowledge, and contribute to process improvements.
